Hip Pain
Hip pain is can be an extremely debilitating and painful condition that can be very difficult to diagnose. The hip is a complex joint in the body. Age of the individual is an important factor when determining the cause of hip pain along with the character of pain and the how the injury occurred. Low back and sacroiliac joint pain may refer to the hip. Hip pain also may refer to the back, knee, and foot, although, true hip pain is located in the groin area. The most common injury to the hip is usually caused by impact. Other causes of hip pain are joint degeneration, joint fixations, strain or sprains of the hip musculature and ligaments, and nerve entrapments. Active Release Techniques® (ART®) Soft Tissue Therapy along with Chiropractic adjustments (if needed) has proven to be an extremely effective treatment for hip pain. Our team at Summit Integrated Health Centre is extremely well qualified for evaluating the complex condition of hip pain.
