Patello-femoral Arthralgia
Patello-Femoral Arthralgia is pain around the knee-cap which is associated with running, jumping, kicking and kneeling. The pain in and around the knee may be accompanied by a sense of instability and crepitius (abnormal sounds). Contributing factors may include the person's individual knee movement, how the muscles that surround the knee are firing, and overuse of the knee joint and ligaments(patello-femoral joint). Active Release Techniques® (ART®) Soft Tissue Therapy is a very effective treatment for Patello-Femoral Arthralgia because it can detect, evaluate and treat the specific muscles, ligaments, and joint structures that are often compromised. At Summit Integrated Health Centre our team is highly experienced and qualified in providing the finest ART® care.
