Wrist pain
Wrist pain can be caused by a number of factors including trauma, overuse, and nerve injury. Wrist pain may involve the ligaments, muscles, and the nerves. Treatment at first includes Protection, Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation (PRICE). Usually after 2-3 days the pain and swelling have begun to diminish, more active forms of treatment can be started. At Summit Integrated Health Centre we have found that Active Release Techniques® Soft tissue Management System (ART®) is an effective method to diagnose and treat wrist pain. Our team at Summit Integrated Health Centre are fully credentialed ART® providers and are fully qualified in treating wrist pain.
